Wordpress PluginsIf you are just starting off a new WordPress site, things can be a bit confusing.  First comes picking the theme which we’ve helped outline here for free themes and here for paid themes.

There’s also a matter of picking the right plugins.  This article here shows you some of the best free plugins that you can use, but we haven’t covered some of the best paid plugins that you can look to buy to help upgrade your wordpress website.

Below we will look at 5 of our favorite plugins to add to any site that will help improve the overall user experience in a variety of ways.

1.  Bloom:  Bloom is an E-mail opt in pop up plugin that can help you collect the email addresses of visitors on your website.  This is important because you can keep them coming back to your site every time you publish something new and exciting that they may find valuable.  While E-mail marketing is worth an article of it’s own, this premium plugin is worth the cost and is extremely user friendly.  A good example of a site using this plugin is Shavelocity.com, which features reviews of the best beard trimmers, shaving tips and an in-depth beard style guide.

2.  Pay with a Like:  Pay with a like is a plugin that allows you to “hide” some of your content and force users to “like” it on facebook to reveal a section of the content.  It’s a great plugin that’s used on many sites to encourage people to share your content through social media.

3.  SumoMe:  Sumo Me is a WordPress Plugin that encourages social sharing through images and through a content sidebar sharing section.  It’s an excellent plugin that’s used on several sites and while the base product is free, there are many upgrades you cannot achieve without upgrading to the paid version.  You can see a demo of SumoMe in action by checking out one of their sister sites, appsumo.com.

4.  LeadPages:  Leadpages is featured on many sites and has been a longtime marketing tool of many affiliate marketing sites on the internet.  It helps convert users to your end goal by creating stunning landing pages, whether that is opt ins or purchasing a product.  It helps reduce bounce rates too depending on how you setup the page.

5.  Yoast Premium:  While the free version will get you setup with some of the basics of SEO, the premium version of Yoast gives you additional bells and whistles.  It allows you to get access to focus on multiple keywords in one article and gives you additional flexibility that the premium version does not.

These five premium paid WordPress plugins are great examples of plugins that can help get your online presence started off on the right foot.  While some of them may benefit your website more than others, all five of them are absolutely worth the premium price tag that they come with.
